flower Introduction to the species of the narrow-mouthed frog
Flowered narrow-mouthed frog

This species has been included in the list issued by the State Forestry Administration of China on August 1, 2000 "List of terrestrial wildlife protected by the state that is beneficial or has important economic or scientific research value".
The Stony-mouthed Frog is the giant of the Stony-mouthed Frog family, with a body length of 7 cm. The skin is thick and smooth, but has some round particles. The back is brown with a large dark brown triangular spot, which looks like a vase. The fingers (toes) are rectangular and flat-cut, and expand into suckers, so they can climb trees and hide in tree holes. It is also good at digging, using its feet to dig holes and burying its body in the soil in just a few seconds.
Distributed in tropical areas such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Hainan Island, Malaysia, and Singapore, Taiwan's flowering frog is currently only found in the Kaohsiung Forest Park area. It has a reproductive population and should have settled down. It is speculated that it was accidentally introduced to Taiwan along with the import of Benmu.
